The New Zealand Diploma in Business (NZDipBus)

is a nationally recognised qualification that allows students to gain a broad range of general business skills and knowledge, followed by an opportunity to focus on career related goals such as accountancy, banking, management, marketing and tourism.


This is a 2 year programme and with a guaranteed internship - it could be your stepping stone into a working environment or may be the ladder to success of where you are already at.

Our BBus faculty are well qualified and experienced professionals. Each bring a wealth of knowledge and practical insight in their specialised field, and collectively we are committed to providing you the skills, acumen and ethical framework for a successful business career.


There are also a variety of ways our classes are presented – through weekly lectures, week-long lecture blocks (intensives), night time lectures, online audio/video podcasts, or a combination of modes. Such a flexible design will ensure that you are able to tailor the BBus to your own learning style, as well as enable you to balance studies with your other commitments.


You will be prepared to work in a variety of settings - from small business and community organisations to multinational companies and large scale industries.


You will be well equipped to for employment in a range of job positions, leading towards professions such as front-line to senior manager, sales & marketing executive, marketing manager, project manager, human resources manager, industrial relations officer, business development manager, customer relations/account manager, communications/PR executive, business entrepreneur, consultant, and much more.

Completing the New Zealand Diploma in Business with Alphacrucis College could get you into Bachelor of Business with our preferred partners or you can continue to pursue your further education at Alphacrucis College Australia. All these papers are transferable to an any polytechnic or tertiary institute in New Zealand that may offer same qualification.

Entry requirements:

  • You must be at least 16 years of age.


Domestic Students:

  • 14 credits NCEA Level 1 numeracy 
  • 50 credits at Level 2 (12 credits in each of three approved subjects (minimum 8 approved literacy credits – 4 credits reading, 4 credits writing)
  • or equivalent study/work experience .


International students:

  • English Entry Requirements equivalent to IELTS 6.0 
  • (no band lower than 5.5

Hostels and furnished self-catering apartments

The college administers a Homestay Accommodation programme, which is available to all.


  • Homestay accommodation fees include two meals per day Monday through Fridays and all meals at weekends.
  • The College recommends that all students from non-English speaking backgrounds seek accommodation with an English-speaking family for the first six months at least to facilitate English language learning.

Stay Options

  • Flats, apartments and houses may be available for rental in the vicinity of the College. 
  • Students may be able to find accommodation as a flat mate and join others in an established flatting situation. 
  • The College can advise students on such accommodation, but responsibility for finding such  accommodation rests with the individual student.

International students under 18 years of age

  • The College can recommend hostel accommodation and fully-furnished apartment, accommodation which is reasonably priced and convenient for transportation to the College.


All international students under 18 years of age are required to live in accommodation approved  by the College. 


This is a requirement of the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. Please see the Student Welfare Officer for more information.
